Auditor Experience

Our Auditors have a wealth of business, professional and technical experience which enables DAS Certification (AS/NZ) to apply the requirements of the International Standards Organisation (ISO) Standards in an efficient and effective manner to achieve your stated business objectives. It is DAS Certification (AS/NZ) policy that our auditors are accredited with the International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA) (www.irca.org). This independent third party certification provides our clients with a high degree of confidence in our auditor’s experience, professionalism and knowledge.

It is via the strict independent IRCA assessment that DAS Certification (AS/NZ) has developed its high standards in auditor competence. In addition, all of our Auditors are required to undertake a minimum of one check audit per year to ensure ongoing skills development.

It is the policy of DAS Certification (AS/NZ) to ensure auditor continuity. At DAS Certification (AS/NZ), we allocate an auditor to each of our clients, who then provides the ongoing interface between the two organisations. In this way, DAS Certification (AS/NZ) not only provides a personalised service, we also provide stability within the audit process that permits both the Auditor and the Client to develop an ongoing professional relationship which is to the mutual benefit of both parties.

Mutual Recognition between Accreditation Bodies

DAS Certification is accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) (www.ukas.com) which is the United Kingdom’s Accreditation Body. UKAS provides the same function as the Joint Accreditation System of Australia and New Zealand (JAS-ANZ), which is Australia’s Accreditation Body.

UKAS is the Unitied Kingdom’s national signatory to multilateral agreements for the purposes of mutual recognition through:

1. The European Co-operation for Accreditation (EA) (http://www.european-accreditation.org/content/ea/members.htm);
2. The International Accreditation Forum (IAF) )(www.iaf.nu); and
3. The International Laboratory Accreditation Co-operation (ILAC) (http://www.ilac.org/members_contact_details.html).

It is through these organisations that UKAS provides mutual recognition between certifications (i.e. a UKAS and JAS-ANZ certification have the same standing within both Australia and the United Kingdom). This process is maintained through stringent peer evaluations (i.e. the signatory bodies audit each other to ensure that standards are maintained).
